Roman Mikhailov’s personal exhibition opened on 20 April

In 2016 New Products Group is giving its support to the PortArtStudio young artist art-studio program, which is implemented within the Podol-based Port Creative Hub, Kyiv, under an initiative of the Platform for Contemporary Art_PCA team.

On 20 April the ‘Cut Routes’ personal exhibition by artist Roman Mikhailov opened within the frame of this program. Roman’s artworks have been displayed at numerous Ukrainian and international creative sites in Kyiv, Odessa, Berlin, Paris, and Vilnius. The artist has also been nominated for the 2015 Pinchuk Art Center Award and has been granted a special Best Installation Award at London Saatchi Gallery in 2015.

The main characters of Roman’s works are birds, depicted at taking off the ground, with all their efforts in vain. In this manner the artist is trying to depict on paper the human’s basic fears. ‘Cut Routes’ visitors will not only see the completed compositions depicting monumental figures on paper, but also the working materials, as well as Mikhailov’s experimental drawings.

“New Products Group – is a long-time admirer of contemporary arts and it is not the first project we are supporting,” says Yelena Selutina, New Products Group PR-director. “We are happy to support such programs. They are up-to-date and innovative as the products produced by the Group.”

The ‘Cut Routes’ exhibition is active 20-29 April, 12:00-19:00, at the Port Creative Hub creative space at the address: 10-А Naberezhno-Kreschatitskaya Str., Kyiv.
