In early October 2020, a charitable initiative was created that promises to become a showcase example of the community of public activists and big business for a common good cause. The name of this initiative is “Kraplya do Krapli“, and its authors are the well-known project “DonorUA”, which has been taking care of the development of the culture of blood donation in Ukraine for more than six years, and the brand “Pryrodne Dzherelo“ – ultra-high quality artesian drinking water for healthy thirst quenching. The logo of the initiative symbolically reflects the eternal interconnection of two basic foundations for the maintenance of human life – blood and water. A deeper conceptual idea of the long-term project “Kraplya do Krapli” is revealed in a social video.
After several months of work, we can confidently summarize that the project is socially significant and effective, because at the moment more than 1,327 new donors have been involved in the movement, more than 320,000 hryvnias have been collected and more than 3,981 human lives have been saved. Constantly reporting on successes, actively participating in various events, carrying out informational work in social networks, “Kraplya do Krapli” became seen and heard. Celebrities and opinion leaders began to recommend the donor movement on their personal Instagram profiles. The first to publicly support the initiative were the famous singer Yevgenia Vlasova and the co-founder of the studio “Mamahohotala” Yevgeniy Yanovich.
The stars recorded a video for their fans, where they urged not to be indifferent, donate blood, give your neighbor a chance for life. After all, thanks to the project “Kraplya do Krapli” it became possible to do this not only directly through donation, but also simply through a conscious consumer choice. “I myself, as soon as I undergo all the tests and know that I am healthy, will join this movement. If you know that for some reason you cannot be a donor, that is, there are different things with health and the like, you can simply buy water “Pryrodne Dzherelo”, and the proceeds from its purchase will also go to donation,” said Evgeniy Yanovich. “Sometimes it is very easy to do good deeds and be involved in something very bright, wonderful and large-scale,” Yevgenia Vlasova noted in turn.
“Any initiative, even the best one, risks being left in the shadows if only a few people know about it. That is why the support of people who have authority, benefit from the public interest, have a circle of their own admirers is invaluable. History shows that opinion leaders are often the providers of beneficial social change. Therefore, we are extremely grateful to Evgenia Vlasova and Evgeniy Yanovich, who were the first among the stars to be imbued with our project. They will bring more than a dozen people to the donor office, and they will simply make others think about which brand of drinking water to choose in order to benefit not only themselves, but also people who need donor blood,” commented Elena Selyutina, Communications Director of Group of Companies “New Products”, producer of artesian drinking water “Pryrodne Dzherelo”.
The long-term goal of the “Kraplya do Krapli” project is to raise 1,510,000 UAH, attract 10,247 new donors and save 30,741 lives. Therefore, we still have a lot of joint work ahead. However, a noble goal warms the heart of each participant, regardless of which way he chose to help: directly donating blood, registering on the DonorUA website (https://account.donor.ua/register), or drinking water “Prirodne Dzherelo” by simply choosing the specially labeled bottles on the shelf.
